The Time Has Finally Come...

Fri Nov 13, 2009, 6:09 AM
At long last, my artistic endeavors have begun to pay off well enough for me to leave the cash register behind--hopefully for good this time! Starting tomorrow my occupation will no longer be "cashier/artist"... it will be just "ARTIST!" XD

It's a little sad and bittersweet, because I'll miss a lot of my coworkers and customers, but at the same time I am elated because I will be breaking free of Wal-Mart's grasp... And not just Wal-Mart, but all of the crappy places I'd be doomed to work the rest of my life if I hadn't taken matters into my own hands.

Things will be a little lean for a while--I will be taking a cut in pay doing this, but I think we should do alright.

Also, we just got our first Christmas tree! Pictures coming soon! (It's black, naturally!)

Until next time!

Hey, wal-mart lady! You obviously ran around our dinky town a lot. Know any really good places for pictures? Could use your input! :D

Look behind buildings. Some of the best settings in Iola are behind the buildings downtown, where the paint is chipping away or the windows are boarded up. They make great backdrops. Also, look for abandoned buildings that you can get permission to be around, but of course be careful about going into any. XD

Other than that, just keep an eye out for stuff you find interesting. It's tough to find good photo spots in our land of corrugated metal >.<

Okay I'll try that. I was gonna go out to my great grandpa's tonight but of course...*pointing at sky* weather. Makes it hard to get you photography homework done. stupid weather.

btw, you shouldn't talk about two hundred pound women coming in to walmart wearing a black tank top especially to my sister. because the drive home ends up being filled with her talking about how the boys all think she has a big ass. I blame you for that headache.
