Will you stay?

I was at an auction yesterday with my parents when these two stray puppies wandered in, both looking starved half to death and terribly neglected. I convinced Dad to let me bring them home by promising him that I only wanted to find them good homes.

This is "Blackie", the mellower of the two. I can't tell if her calm nature is her personality or severe exhaustion and hunger. She is a very sweet dog--just wants to know that she is loved. Her sister, Crank, is much more food oriented than she is, which is probably why she is larger than Blackie and generally more active.

Blackie was nuzzling and wrapping her paws around my knee as if to say, "Thank you--please don't leave us."
